About Us

The idea for sophistakatz evolved over a period of time. While looking at business ideas we came across a business that described itself as a social introduction agency. While I looked like a good idea we felt it was limited in what it offered. After much research and brainstorming we refined what we would look for in social introduction agency, and also looked at what was not currently available.

This is how sophistakatz was born.

We are not a dating agency, although you may meet someone that you would like to date.

We are not a dinner club although we will have some dinners listed on our events calendar.

We are not an introduction agency, although you will meet new people.

What we are is the social club for everyone.

In the past you went to school and then you went to work. Usually you would stay in your job for a very long time and would get to know your colleagues quite well. Perhaps your workplace had a social club or at the very least you would get together with those friends for a bbq or dinner.

In our modern world, we change jobs much more often, we may move across the country and if a workplace does have a social club that you contribute to the only event usually hosted is the office Christmas party.

Enter sophistakatz! What we are is the social club for everyone, with events all through the year for yourself and some events for your spouse and family if you have them. We organise fun events for everyone.

For single people wanting to make new friends, or perhaps meet someone special. For couples wishing to expand their social network, and for families wishing to mingle with other families.
